IAFSA President’s Letter

It has been a year of growth for me and IAFSA.

I have had excellent support from all executive board members, former President Mary Liscombe, and the staff of the Alumni house. Learning all the intricacies of governing a non-profit organization has been a challenge but rewarding. I am grateful for the many volunteers that give their time to continue all the tasks that go into keeping IAFSA relevant.

Supporting connections between FSU alumni and future alumni is still our primary focus. We continue to support our Alumni with a place to connect, we had classes host “mini-reunions” at our beautiful Alumni house. Students and Alumni continue to learn with the “Coffee and Conversations” program. We are reaching our future alumni by offering scholarships and no-interest loans. With the continued support of generous FSU alumni, we can continue giving out $60K plus in scholarships annually to current students, assist alumni in need and maintain the beautiful historic home that houses the IAFSA organization and so much of the history of FSU. IAFSA is committed to building relationships, and connections between past, present, and future Framingham State alumni.

Please consider becoming an active participant in IAFSA. We are always looking for new talent and insights for our Executive Board and the day-to-day running of our organization. I graduated with a degree in Fashion Merchandising, FSU was the place where my career path started and it feels good to give back and reconnect with my college roots. Your financial support is also imperative to continue the tradition established in 1874 of service by receiving and administering funds that provide scholarships and benevolent assistance while maintaining Alumni House.
