Award amount depends on donations received, and any interest accrued from invested funds.
Conditions
The applicant shall be an undergraduate at FSU who graduated from a Massachusetts high school and continues to reside in Massachusetts.
Applicants will have a major in Elementary Education with preference given to those with an interest in psychology, counseling, social work, or bi-lingual education.
Applicant must have minimum QPA of 3.00 and have completed four course credits.
Financial need will be a consideration for the award.

The scholarship was established in 2012 by Clark and Susana Bernard to assist Massachusetts residents who are studying elementary education.
A teacher and guidance counselor in Framingham for 27 years, Susana Bernard believes that the best teaching skills, combined with related support services, optimize the education and life experiences for each student.
